So how's things?

I guess I'm settling back in to doing what I'm supposed to. The world turns and you get on with it. There's no point in trying to do anything about it. If something's going to happen then it'll happen. I'll just sit back and let the tide take me where it will. If I see a branch I'll grab it, if not, then well atleast I've got the scenery to stare at as I float down stream. I'll try and steer myself in the right direction when I come to a fork in the road, I just hope I don't choose one that ends in a waterfall. Even if I do then it'll be too late and my bones'll be mash before too long.

  • As a keen environmentalist, I hope the fork in that road is just a bit of metaphorical confusion, or else I'm going to be very concerned about the welfare of your existential stream. Anyway, was it really necesary to blot out 'c***c*****' in your profile? This is historical revisionism on a grotesque, almost Stalinist scale. At this point, I should probably keep quiet for fear of erasure (and not the band, thought that is a quite common phobia).

  • My stream is merely the metaphorical representation of my professional career. One which I hope does not fall folley to the inexcusable common practice of being polluted and littered.

Apparently it was indeed a necessary deletion. And while my moralistic centre screams in a defiant death knell, my not wanting to get myself into even more bother self whispers into my ear occassionally. He's telling me to grin and bare it, all the while reminding me of the perceived rules.

I'd fear erasure, but for legal reasons I'd rather not 'dis' said 80's pop band :P

  • Yes, we wouldn't **** ** *** ******** ***** ***** ***** ******. Ooh, sorry, you've started me off now. It's when you start fading from treasured family photographs a la Back to the Future that you'll have to start worrying. Don't come running to me... I mean just generally, don't come running to me, it really upsets me.

  • Not even when the name on my tombstone starts to change? I guess the sight of me waving my own tombstone, raving about time travel would upset anyone. Apart from Michael J Fox.
