Monk's escape plan

As of last tuesday (12/6/07), Monk was fired from work. Now I know we all joke on and make fun of each other, and Monk does give out as much as he gets, but I do feel sorry for him. Sure it was his own damn fault, but still. The place won't be the same without him. There's nothing quite like a whitty (or is that witty?) bit of banter to get you through the day. Who's going to come up with obscure theories about magicians doing card tricks in space? Or the highest court in the land being a space station, and the complexities of transporting balsa wood up there for the traditional paneled walls? Or the shear lazyness of not wanting to leave the house taken to such an extreme that he'd put it on stilts and carry it round? Most people give me the look you've got on your face now when I try to start such conversations. Not Monk though. He'd jump in head first (and truth be told, he'd have started half of them anyway).

Now I know he's part hermit, part enigma (the mystery continues), and no one knows for sure whether he does in fact live with his parents (mainly because he refuses to let anyone go to his house), but I do hope he stays in touch. Sure I may make him out to look like a complete nut job (so much so that my Dad refused to speak to him on the phone since the only Monk experience he had was by reading the blog), but he's a good friend, whether he likes to admit it or not.

  • I feel unloved.....There was no such sentimental tribute to me when i got sacked. What is your explanation mr Mac?

  • Well, I do have a valid reason. Monk got fired through his own....lets admit it, foolishness (and if that won't goad him to finally post on here, I can think of plently more I can try. Oh I won't will I not? Just try me). You however were "let go" because of a large internal business decision, and you know how much I try to avoid mentioning those. However, if you have the eyes of a ninja, you'll see that I already snuck some secret tributes in at the time. You obviously don't care enough to notice. Now I don't feel loved.

  • No, you lie. Since I've had to do your work for you, here it is:

    "On a sad note" Sunday - January 28, 2007

And "Life's disappearing" a little while after.
